Patrick Marleau is on the move again.

Hours before the trade deadline, the San Jose Sharks traded the veteran to Pittsburgh in exchange for a conditional third round pick, which becomes a second if the Penguins win the cup. Pittsburgh marks Marleau’s third NHL team after he served as a Maple Leafs from 2017-2019.

The trade holds significance for multiple reasons. Of course, it gives the 40-year-old his best shot at winning the Stanley Cup since the Sharks (ironically) lost to the Penguins in the 2016 Finals, but apparently the Penguins were also his childhood team, and we have proof! Well, his wife does at least.

Christina shared this beauty out after the news broke about her husband.

But wait, there’s more! Can’t forget about this one:

Uh… anyone else think the guy hasn’t aged a bit?!

To make the whole situation that much better for Patty, he’ll also be able to keep his #12. Domink Simon, you’re a gem bud.

Patrick Marleau will wear #12 for the #Penguins. Classy move by Simon #TradeCentre

What a storybook ending it would be if Marleau hoisted the Cup in black and gold to end his career. The Penguins currently hold the second spot in the Metropolitan Division.
