Chris Wideman of the Ottawa Senators hasn't played since the middle of November due to an awful injury he suffered against the Penguins.
The 27-year-old wants nothing more than to be out there with his teammates, but on December 1st, he took to Twitter to let the hockey world know he would need surgery to repair the hamstring injury he suffered against the Penguins.
Before doing the surgery, Wideman spoke to the media about the injury and preparing for surgery.
Monday, the Senators defenceman underwent surgery and updated fans on how it went after it was done on his Instagram story in a very detailed way:
For someone that had his hamstring stapled to his rear end, Wideman seemed to be in great spirits and we couldn't be happier about that.
Hopefully by the time he recovers and is ready to rejoin the team, the Sens will have made up some ground in the Atlantic as their recent slide has them in 6th.
