The Boston Red Sox are World Series champions and they managed to capture their latest title in style.

After David Price pitched 7 strong (followed by an inning pitched by Joe Kelly), team ace Chris Sale had his name called to close the series out in the ninth. With the Red Sox up 5-1, there was little doubt theyโ€™d come away with the W but his final pitch (and third K to strikeout the side) couldnโ€™t have been more perfect. Sale, whoโ€™s known for his slider, through an absolutely nasty one at 84 MPH on Manny Mochado that made him literally fall on his knee.

We can all agree that NO ONE is hitting that and fans were obviously freaking out about it on Twitter afterward:

Similar to Red Sox pitcher David Price, Sale had some playoff demons of his own heading into the 2018 postseason. But after earning 24 Kโ€™s through 15.1 in October AND capturing a championship, people are going to think twice before criticizing him going forward.

Especially when heโ€™s throwing pitches like this one.
