Recently, it seems like Charles Barkley has mostly been in the headlines for his beef with Draymond Green — but he’s also out here putting some good into the world, too!
In an appearance on Birmingham local radio station WJOX 94.5, Barkley said that he would auction off some memorabilia from his playing career, including his 1993 MVP trophy, in order to build affordable housing in his hometown of Leeds, Alabama.
This is definitely a worthy cause, and whatever you think of Barkley’s often-incendiary basketball takes, it’s cool to see him paying it forward. He only won MVP once in his career, so to give up that trophy is definitely admirable.
We’re still looking forward to his reply to the latest shot from Draymond, though...
