It's been a quiet offseason for the Toronto Blue Jays, but one of the names that was linked to the team earlier in the offseason was CC Sabathia.
There were rumours about the Jays being interested in signing Sabathia, but the 37-year-old ended up staying with the Yankees as he signed a one-year deal with the club.
On Wednesday, Sabathia revealed why he decided to go back to the Yankees instead of signing with Toronto on the most recent episode of his Players' Tribune podcast and he was brutally honest to say the least.
You have to appreciate the honesty from Sabathia. The reason he didn't sign with the Blue Jays was a good one, especially considering how old he is.
Sabathia doesn't have a lot of years left (one would assume), so to sign with a worse team than the one he was previously on and have to face his former team would have made little sense.
That said, Toronto's lineup features some big bats and it won't be easy to face them, either.
