The Carolina Hurricanes’ Twitter team made it pretty clear that they're not looking to exact any revenge for their injured defenceman..

The organization suffered a tough loss to their blue line after defenceman Trevor van Riemsdyk was smoked into the boards by Islanders forward Cal Clutterbuck. TVR was forced to leave the game with an upper-body shoulder and fans were clearly upset with the call. One went as far as insinuating the Canes should injure one of the Isles players in response, but the social team made sure to shoot down this idea. In a classy tweet, they insisted they would never wish such a thing on anyone.

First of all, very smooth move by the Canes. Second, PetrMrazekSaysNo, what’re you thinking bud? Comments like that just aren’t going to fly. Fans also chimed on the tweet.

In case you missed it, Oshie was knocked out of the postseason after enduring a scary hit from behind from Warren Foegele in Game 4 in the first round. He was later diagnosed with a broken collar-bone and had to watch from the sideline as the Capitals fell to the Hurricanes in overtime of Game 7.

Let’s hope no one else is forced to miss anymore time over the course of the series.
