Earlier this week Montreal Canadiens centreman Tomas Plekanec skated in his 1,000th career NHL game. Out of those games, 983 were spent in a Habs uniform so the team decided it’s only right to do something in his honour on Wednesday night when they host the St. Louis Blues.
As expected, there will be a pre-game ceremony for the soon-to-be 36-year-old but that’s not all. Fans attending the game at the Bell Centre will get to take advantage of a special Snapchat geofilter the team created for the game and it’s perfect for the occasion.
That’s right, there will be a Snapchat geofilter at Wednesday night’s Blues and Canadiens game that will feature Plekanec’s legendary turtleneck.
In his 1,000 career games, Plekanec has registered 233 goals and 375 assists for 608 points to go along with 543 penalty minutes.
