We’re big fans of teams showing love to the other sports franchises they share the city with because it usually means the players will be taking part in warm-ups, or the game, in uniforms that resemble the other team’s uniforms in some shape or form.
Later this summer, the Buffalo Bisons will host their first ever ‘Hockey Night at the Ballpark’ when they take on the Durham Bulls on Friday, August 16, and they’ve got some awesome Sabres-themed uniforms ready for the big night.
The Bisons will rock special blue and gold hockey-style jerseys for the first time in franchise history which will feature three gold stripes across the bottom and on the sleeves, similar to the Sabres’ jerseys from the 1970s and the 1980s. There will also be three laces printed below the neckline and each player will have ‘Buffalo’ printed on their nameplate.
Let’s not forget, with brand new uniforms comes brand new caps, as well.
On top of getting to witness the awesome uniforms in person, fans will get a chance to meet Sabretooth and Sabres alumni throughout the evening, and will even have a chance to win some awesome hockey-related prizes and the jerseys off the players’ backs.
