Brady Tkachuk was drafted by the Ottawa Senators this past summer and has only played four games so far this season, but he’s already become quite the fan favourite among Sens fans for his off-ice personality and his on-ice abilities.

Although the 19-year-old rookie has been out of action for the past couple of weeks due to a torn ligament in his leg, Tkachuk has managed to stay busy by being active in the community. On Monday, the Scottsdale, Arizona native made a surprise visit to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario where he spent the afternoon interacting with the patients and signing autographs.

The Senators have hosted CHEO patients at games over the years, but this time they switched things up and had one of their players pay a visit to them.

Tkachuk spent last season at Boston University where he totaled eight goals and 23 assists for 31 points in 40 games to go with 61 penalty minutes, and he didn’t waste any time making an impact at the NHL level as he’s got three goals and six points through his first four games.
