Brad Marchand has earned a reputation around the league as one of the peskiest players when he's on the ice, but that that doesn’t mean he’s a bad person when he’s away from the ice.
On Monday night the Bruins were in Ottawa for a tilt with the Senators. Ahead of puck drop, 9-year-old Sophia Pierce rocked the arena with her renditions of both the “Star-Spangled Banner” and “O Canada”.
After Pierce wrapped up the singing of the national anthems, Marchand skated over to her to congratulate her on a job well done.
Marchand went on to pick up two assists in the contest, but the Bruins fell short, 5-2.
