The words "Play Like A Champion Today" are synonymous with Notre Dame football and on Tuesday, the Boston Bruins embraced that mantra in the Winter Classic in the home of the Fighting Irish.
The Bruins topped the Blackhawks 4-2 in the annual New Year's Day game and after the victory, Brad Marchand celebrated by doing a snow angel on the ice.
Playing outdoors brings the child out of every adult. It's an experience of a lifetime for these players that grew up learning how to play the game on an outdoor rink to have the chance to relive that feeling on a much larger scale.
Win or lose, the Winter Classic is about much more than the two points and everyone involved enjoys the experience each and every year.
