There’s a new sheriff in Arizona and he ain’t messin’ around.

Last Thursday, the Coyotes hired Bill Armstrong to replace interim Steve Sullivan as the team’s new general manager. Armstrong previously served as an assistant GM with the Blues and is hoping to give the ‘Yotes long-term stability at the role after John Chayka sent in his papers over the summer. Coming off of a Stanley Cup in 2019, Armstrong wanted to make his goal clear for the upcoming season and felt the needed to remind everyone that he isn’t there to…

… get a tan.

Thanks Bill! Appreciate that!

The Coyotes managed to crack the postseason for first since reaching the conference final back in 2012. Armstrong will have his work cut out for him, as Taylor Hall is set to become a free agent and rumours about a potential Oliver Ekman-Larsson trade have grown in recent weeks. But hey, we’re sure Armstrong won’t be complaining about the sun (at least in the winter) after living in St. Louis for the past little while.

It looks like the Coyotes have found their next general manager.
