Bianca Andreescu made history this past weekend as she became the first Canadian to win the Rogers Cup in 50 years.

After letting it all sink in, Andreescu took to social media on Monday night to share her feelings about her latest achievement and to thank the fans for all their support.

The 19-year-old Mississauga, Ontario native earned her second WTA title with her victory over Serena Williams and it pushed her to a new career-high ranking of 14, up 13 spots from her previous ranking.

Andreescu was expected to compete at the Cincinnati Masters, but she dropped out on Monday in order to prepare and focus on the US Open.
