Baker Mayfield is used to hitting targets downfield on the gridiron.

Baker Mayfield is not used to hitting fans with a baseball after taking batting on a baseball diamond.

The Cleveland Browns quarterback was invited to come hit batting practice before a Milwaukee Brewers Spring Training game.

A former high school baseball player, Mayfield is friends with Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich and didn't look out of place with a bat in his hand whatsoever.

One of the balls Baker made contact with ended up hitting a Brewers fan. Amanda Siemandel and her family were sitting down the right field land when she was struck on the wrist with a foul ball from a line drive at American Family Fields of Phoenix before their game against the Padres.

Feeling bad for Siemandel, Mayfield immediately apologized and ran down the field and signed a sports souvenir after Siemandel picked up the baseball she was hit by and asked for an autograph.

“It looked like they were going to leave, and I hollered, ‘Hey, can you sign the ball you hit me with?’ ” Siemandel said via the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “He said, ‘Oh, I hit you? Are you OK? Are you doing OK?' He was super nice about it.”

Mayfield played third base back in his high school days an even dreamt of playing the sport when he was a kid. But he chose to stick with football, which was probably the best decision he could've made.

But, if he ever wants a job in baseball, he could try his hand at becoming a first base coach.
