The Colorado Avalanche are one of the hottest teams in the NHL right now as they take a seven-game winning streak into Thursday night’s tilt with the San Jose Sharks.
Many players on the roster are experiencing nice bounce back seasons at the moment and don’t look like they’re going to slow down anytime soon. Since the Avs are playing the best hockey they’ve played all season, the guys found a way to unwind during their recent streak by taking part in a paper ball race competition while attempting the mouthguard challenge.
We’re not sure how they came up with this idea, but the guys seemed to get a real kick out of it and they keep on winning games that’s all that really matters.
Last year, the Avalanche finished last place with the entire league by posting 48 points in 82 games. This year, Colorado already has 51 points and they still have 39 more games to go.
