Since Patrick Marleau’s arrival in Toronto, the veteran has taken in two of the Maple Leafs’ young guns, Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner, as members of his family.
Of course, since Markham native Marner doesn’t have far to travel to get home, we imagine he’s spending Christmas with his own family. Matthews, however, hails from California, and it appears that he wasn’t able to celebrate the holiday with his family in person.
That’s okay! He still has his Toronto family.
While Marner didn’t make the Marleau Christmas family photo, he made sure to stop by for some face time last week. Was there ever any doubt?
