With the NHL season starting back up in just a few weeks, we’re pretty sure nobody is as hyped up as Auston Matthews is to get back at it.
During the off-season, Matthews has spent his time back home in Scottsdale where the desert sun is hot, but not hot enough to stop him from continuing his on-ice training.
In a recent video posted to Instagram, Matthews shared footage of his on-ice sessions as a farewell to his home state, following the caption “Til next time AZ.”
Within the clip, there are cameos from Connor McDavid, Jonathan Toews, Matt Dumba, Anthony Duclair, and other NHLers.
We can’t lie, this video goes hard. It’s like an NHL off-season All-Star game and it’s fueling all of our hockey longing hearts.
