Even though he's no longer coached by his father, Houston Rockets guard Austin Rivers won't stand for fans mocking his father's coaching ability.

The son of Clippers head coach, Doc Rivers, was walking by a group of fans during Saturday's game against the Thunder when fan yelled out "your dad sucks at coaching" from behind the metal gate right next to a courtside lounge.

Rivers stopped and confronted the heckler, who quickly changed their tune.

"Huh, you say something,?" replied Rivers. You can bet the fan was not expecting that.

"I didn't say anything, said the fan after Rivers clapped back and was suddenly unable to fire a rebuttal chirp. What a back down.

The 26-year-old Rivers suited up for four seasons under his father while playing some of the basketball of his career. Doc is in his 20th career coaching and owns a .574 winning percentage with a 877-650  record. He won an NBA championship with the Boston Celtics in the 2007-08 season, so saying he sucks at coaching is certainly a stretch.

Some things should be just kept to yourself, and if you're going to take shots at the father of a professional athlete, a basketball player isn't the wisest of options.
