What is going on?
We thought things were getting testy yesterday, when Antonio Brown posted a letter from the Raiders announcing a team fine to his Instagram account. We probably should’ve known that it was just the precursor.
Per multiple reports, things came to a head on Wednesday, when Brown nearly came to blows with general manager Mike Mayock. The details are... whew. Things didn’t get physical, but Brown threatened to hit Mayock in the face before punting the ball and saying, “Fine me for that.”
What’s next for Brown and the Raiders? Well, now it looks like the Raiders are trying to void his contract, so that’s how that’s going.
Cool, cool cool cool. There was a good deal of excitement when the Raiders acquired Brown in the first place, and you can understand why given his level of talent, but now things seem to be at risk of coming apart before AB even plays a game for Oakland.
Maybe this is how Brown goes full circle and ends back up on the Bills? No clue. The football world, at least, couldn’t get enough of the latest AB drama.
