For crying out loud… keep those shots down in practice fellas!

Wearing a visor is great and all but sometimes, it just doesn’t cut it. Just look no further than Montreal Canadiens forward Alexander Romanov, who took one straight to the face on a wild shot from teammate Jonathan Drouin. Getting hit in the dome is bad enough, but when the shot comes from you teammate?! That’s just brutal.

Yup, that’s a no-no. Romanov had to leave the ice and did not return, however, it was later reported that he only required stitches and should be good to go for the Habs’ Saturday matinee with the Senators. #HockeyGuy.

What’s the deal with the Habs and weird shots to the head in practice? Let’s not forget about Shea Weber’s blast that literally broke former backup goaltender Michael McNiven’s mask. Just cool it fellas, cool it!!!!

This Shea Weber shot went through Michael McNiven’s mask 😲😲. Luckily he suffered no additional injuries. (🎥: John Lu/Twitter) #sports #hockey #nhl

Glad to see everyone’s okay but maybe wear a cage next time? I dunno, or just keep the shots down.
