Alexander Ovechkin is one of the most fun players in the NHL, so when he gets his tongue twisted in an interview, you know he’ll roll with the punches.
That happened after Sundays game in which he scored three seconds into one of his team’s powerplays. Everybody knows that Ovechkin loves to shoot, but apparently he has another hobby as well.
In reference to what he actually meant to say, Ovechkin should shoot every time he gets the chance. We’ve seen in the past that the Capitals focus heavily on his shot from the left circle for their powerplay and that seems like the right decision.
Just ask Carter Hutton, who had to face Ovechkin last night.
