Carolina Hurricanes forward Sebastian Aho wasn’t the only star forward presented with an offer sheet over the summer.

In fact, Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner was presented with two, according to his agent Darren Ferris. After his client inked a six-year, $65.358 million deal on Friday, Ferris revealed on First UP with Michael Landsberg and Carlo Colaiacovo that although Marner was offered two different deals, his eyes were set on remaining a Toronto Maple Leaf and being at camp on time.

Ferris didn’t reveal which teams made their pitch, however, SiriusXM NHL Podcast host and NHL veteran Matthew Barnaby expressed on Twitter that he was told the Minnesota Wild and Columbus Blue Jackets were the two teams. Blue Jackets insider Aaron Portzline reported in July that Columbus was among the teams who spoke to Ferris about a “possible offer sheet.”

Marner marks the first of a large line of dominos to fall with a new deal. Forwards Patrik Laine, Brayden Point, Kyle Connor, Brock Boeser and Travis Konecny all remain unsigned with just over two weeks until free agency. No reports of an offer sheet to each player has surfaced.

Had Marner signed an offer sheet, the team acquiring him would have given up first four round picks at his current AAV. Relax though Leaf fans, you’ve got your guy for six more years!
