The New York Yankees just got a whole lot scarier.

Speculation over where reigning NL MVP Giancarlo Stanton may be traded to was ended on Saturday morning after the Miami Marlins announced they had reached an agreement to send the slugger to New York in exchange for second baseman Starlin Castro and prospects Jorge Guzman and Jose Devers.

The deal rocked the baseball world, as fans, players, and analysts shared their two cents on the trade.
Stanton now gives the Yanks two of the best hitters in baseball. The 28-year-old, who led the MLB in home runs last season, will be paired with the AL's home run king Aaron Judge. In his rookie season, Judge put on a clinic with 52 dingers of his own and nearly led New York to their first World Series appearance since 2008.

Thrilled with the news, Judge shared the perfect tweet that referenced every millennial's favourite comedy; Step Brothers.
Priceless.

Yankees fans should expect to see a whole lot of balls sent to their way in the outfield next season.
