Sidney Crosby is the perfect face for the NHL. Smart, quiet, stays out of trouble and is a proven champion. Still, those who criticize him (mainly Pittsburgh’s division rivals in the Metropolitan Division), point to the idea that Crosby is a ‘crybaby.’ The 30-year-old has shown his animated side in the past and hasn’t backed down from speaking his mind on the ice.

The Penguins and Philadelphia Flyers have a well-documented rivalry that has heated up this season. Both teams are in a position to make the playoffs and could see each other in the first round in April. On Wednesday night, the two teams squared off, but a fan’s sign managed to be one of the highlights of the contest. A 10-year-old roasted the Penguins captain with a sign that one could only expect from a Philadelphia sports fan.

Boom, roasted.

Ouch.

Crosby is just the latest victim to find his name on a hockey sign for all the wrong reasons. Earlier in the season, a fan pointed out that Toronto Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews thinks that a hot dog’s a sandwich.

😱😱😱 @auston_matthews

Where do people come up with this stuff?

Crosby had the last laugh as he managed to pick up three assists in the 5-2 win on Wednesday night. Fans can say what they want about the captain, but the guy just wins. Even if he does have the occasional outburst on the ice.
