There are a lotttt of upset hockey fans right now, specifically the ones from New York City.
On Tuesday morning, the Department of Player Safety handed Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson a $5,000 fine for his actions towards Pavel Buchnevich and Artemi Panarin on Monday night. More people than not were under the impression the 27-year-old was going to be handed a suspension but he won’t even miss a game heading into the postseason.
To make matters worse for Rangers fans, Panarin was forced to leave the game and might not return to the lineup this season. To say hockey fans were surprised with the result is an understatement.
To make sense of the DOPS’ decision…
Wilson, a repeat offender, was awarded a seven-game suspension in March for an illegal hit that sent Bruins defenceman Brandon Carlo. The power forward has been suspended five times in his 565 game career.
So, what are your thoughts on the decision?
