Jaromir Jagr turned 49 earlier this year and by the time the hockey season concludes he’ll be 50, but that didn’t stop him from returning for a 34th professional season.
Jagr’s team Rytíři Kladno came up short on Friday night, but the two-time Stanley Cup champion picked up his first goal of the campaign in his team’s loss.
The 5-time Art Ross Trophy winner only scored two goals in 19 games last season, but he finished with 15 goals in 38 games in 2019-20, so he’s clearly still got something left in the tank as he approaches 50.
Jagr might never hang up his skate at this rate.
