After a scary period which saw the state experience Hurricane Irma, the Florida Panthers will be playing their home opener on October 7th at BB&T Arena. First respondents and hurricane heroes have been invited to the game, and the team will also host various organizations that helped out with the situation as well.

One of the individuals invited to the contest is Archbishop Coleman F. Carroll High School principal Sister Margaret Ann, who played a suprisingly awesome role in helping the community. The nun was spotted with a chainsaw, cutting trees and trying to clear roads. She was initially spotted by an off-duty officer of the Miami-Dade Police Department, who posted videos and pictures of what he had seen.

Not too bad!

After the events, she quickly earned the nick-name, 'The Nun with a Chainsaw'. the principal has already made headlines in England, and was also featured in an interview with CNN. According to Sister Ann, the chainsaws were sitting in a closet at her school. Her goal was to deliver a message that her and other faculty members try to send to their student regularly; do what you can to help.

Community heroes are typically recognized by professional sports teams, but there's probably never been one like Sister Ann before. Florida has relatively low attendance numbers, but October's opener should have a great crowd.
