No. 2 ranked Arizona probably thought they were getting the easiest opponent in the Sweet 16 as they went up against No. 11 Xavier, but that’s why you need to play the game before you decide who is going to win.
Arizona extended their lead late in the second half and were looking as if they were about to run away with a big victory. However, the underdogs had different plans and completed an unbelievable comeback late in the game to secure their spot in the Elite 8 of the March Madness tournament.
Xavier is the only double digit seed left in the tournament, so they probably just became everyone’s new favourite team (except for the Arizona fans). After all, everyone loves a good underdog story, and they’re the last chance for one in this year’s NCAA March Madness tournament.
On a side note, Bill Murray is the ultimate good luck charm.
