Last season, former NHLer Wojtek Wolski suffered a scary injury during a KHL game that left him with a broken neck.
Nearly one year after the scary injury, Wolski was back on the ice on Friday night with his new squad, the Kunlun Red Star, and his return to the KHL was a memorable one.
Already leading 1-0 in the second period, Wolski found the back of the net for the first time since September 23, 2016.
Not only did the former first round NHL draft pick score in his return to the KHL and his debut with the Kunlun Red Star, but his goal proved to be the game-winning goal as Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg managed to score in the dying seconds of the game.
In 451 NHL games, Wolski finished with 99 goals and 168 assists for 267 points.
