The life of a professional goalie isn't an easy one. You've got pucks traveling at 100 mph whizzing directly at you, players crashing into your net and nearly every mistake you make leads to a goal for the opposing team. It can be a lot of pressure.
No one understands the emotional plight of a goalie quite like another goalie. Monday, during the Minnesota Wild's practice Devan Dubnyk and Darcy Kuemper both managed to stop the final skaters they faced in a shootout and decided to congratulate one another with a big warm hug.
They may stand 178 feet from one another, but emotionally, they stand side by side. There really is no better way of telling your teammate, "I appreciate, you!"
