No matter how many times we see video of a family member returning from deployment, it consistently fills our hearts with joy and our eyes with tears.
While watching the Minnesota Timberwolves cruise past the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night might have been entertaining, the far more enjoyable part of the night was when the players were off the court. Major Sam Sanderson was returning from deployment, and wanted to surprise his two children upon his return. Is there a more unexpected way to unveil a return home than to be standing on the logo at centre court, as the kids remove blindfolds to see their father?
What an amazing moment this family will remember forever. Welcome home, Major Sam Sanderson.
