Two goal leads really are the worst leads in hockey, just ask Russia.

Saturday, Canada completed an absolutely spectacular 3rd period comeback in their semifinal game versus Russia at the IIHF World Hockey Championship. Entering the 3rd period, Canada found themselves down two goal. Within the first minute of the third, Mark Scheifele had scored for Canada to ensure that it would remain a close game to the finish.

But Canada saved the remainder of their fireworks for late in the third period. With just under five minutes in regulation, Nathan MacKinnon nearly had his opportunity to tie the game slip away from him, but he stuck with the play evening things at 2-2.

While some fans may have been thinking about the possibility of this game going to a shootout, Canada certainly wasn't, with Ryan O'Reilly perfectly positioning himself in front of the net to score Canada's third unanswered goal, giving the red and white the lead.

From there, Sean Couturier added an empty net goal, securing Canada's lead and ensuring a second straight trip to the Gold Medal game at the IIHF Worlds. Check out the full highlights at TSN.ca, and don't forget to tune in Sunday for the Gold Medal game versus the winner of Finland-Sweden.
