The NHL season was an incredible one and the offseason has also lived up to the hype, but there's one thing that happened during the regular season that both players and fans weren't happy about.

When the NHL announced that the league and its players wouldn't be participating in the 2018 Winter Olympics, fans and most players were very disappointed with the decision.

That said, some players did express that they still planned on somehow going and representing their country.

Ovi's opinion on going to the 2018 Winter Olympics hasn't changed.

Marc-Edouard Vlasic is one of those players that believes NHL players should be at the 2018 Winter Olympics.

Saturday, Vlasic, who won gold with Canada at the 2014 Winter Olympics, signed an 8-year, $56 million extension with the Sharks.

After signing the extension, he was asked about the Olympics on RDS and shared a wonderful response to the possibility of getting fined if he decided to go.

For those who don't understand French  (we don't), here's what Vlasic said, via Bing Translate:

"Vlassic M-E about the risks that he be fined by the NHL if he goes to the Olympics: "Okay, I'll receive 56 million $ then ' #RDS"

In other words, Vlasic has money to spend after signing that massive extension, so he's not too worried about the fine and if he needs help getting to the Olympics, he should ask to be part of Ovi's "master plan."
