One of the best parts about being a professional hockey player is playing one of the best sports in the world with your best friends.
An NHL player's teammates are like his brothers. Players go across the country (and sometimes world) together and the friendships they forge with each other last a lifetime.
Because players spend so much time together, there are a lot of laughs they share and the jokes make their way onto social media.
One of the best running jokes is Kris Versteeg torching his former teammate Jonathan Toews on Instagram with a hilarious comment on every single picture he posts.
Versteeg doesn't hold back and thanks to the new Instagram update, if you're looking at a picture from Toews page on your phone, chances are one of the comments you'll see is from "stigalicious."
That fact remained true on Tuesday when the Blackhawks' captain posted this picture of himself working out ahead of the upcoming season.
According to EA Sports' rankings for NHL 18, Toews is the 10th best center in the NHL, so really Versteeg is just being a little more critical.
Obviously he's just having some fun with Captain Serious (who is way better than the 12th or 10th best center in the NHL), though, and we hope he continues to do so because hockey fans everywhere enjoy the chirps.
