Tuesday night was a special one for the Golden Knights franchise as the team played its first ever game in Las Vegas.
It didn't take long for the Golden Knights to send a message to the hockey world as they scored four goals in the first period alone.
After jumping out to a 4-0 lead in the first, the Golden Knights cruised to a 5-1 win and a 3-0 start to their inaugural season.
The team also made history as they became the first expansion team in NHL history to start a season 3-0.
Obviously the expansion draft format was different this year compared to previous years, but still, the 3-0 start is extremely impressive, especially considering the team won their first two games on back-to-back nights on the road.
