Colorado Avalanche fans haven't had many moments to cheer and be happy about this season to say the least.
Entering play Monday night, the Avs are a full 12 points back of Arizona for second last place in the league, which is insane when you think about it.
Add in the fact that trade rumours involving fan favourites Matt Duchene and captain Gabriel Landeskog continue to swirl and you can see why there just hasn't been a lot to cheer about.
Although Colorado lost 3-2 in overtime to Tampa Bay Sunday night, there was still something that happened during the game that had to have put a smile on the faces of Avs fans despite the tough season.
Ahead of the third period, the Avalanche broadcast on Altitude showcased two young fans licking the glass in the Pepsi Centre multiple times, and it was hilarious.
The looks on the faces of those kids coupled with the reaction from the commentators made the moment that much better.
As tough as the season has been for Avs fan, there have been some bright spots on and off the ice, and one of those bright spots showed up again in the loss to Tampa.
There's always a ray of light in the darkest of situations.
