Losing a playoff game sucks, but it feels even worse when you feel as though you're team was on the wrong side of a questionable call that decided the outcome of the game.
That was the case Sunday night in Kansas City as the Chiefs were on the wrong side of a holding call that cost them a chance to win the game.
If not for the holding call, the game would have been tied. Instead, Kansas City was forced to retry the two-point conversion attempt from the 12 yard line and they failed to convert.
After the game, Travis Kelce spoke about the penalty and he took aim at the officials with a NSFW tirade that he will most likely be fined for.
Kelce certainly got his money's worth with that rant, and, aside from the explicit language, the joke was kind of funny.
Still, the Chiefs had opportunities all game to take a lead thanks to their defence not allowing a touchdown.
Plus, even if they tied the game, there was more than enough time for Ben Roethlisberger to drive his team into field goal range once again.
That being said, maybe Kansas City forces a turnover in that scenario. Bottom line, you just never know, and at the end of the day, the lesson from this game should be never let it get to a point where an official decides your team's fate.
Like many fighters say, leave no doubt.
