Tim Tebow the football player is gone, but Tim Tebow the baseball player is alive and well.
Although many people think him playing Class A baseball for the Columbia Fireflies is some publicity stunt or that he won't ever make it to Double A ball, let alone the Bigs, that doesn't matter to the former Bronco.
Tebow's self belief is so strong that it should have others believing in him a lot more than they do right now.
While Tim's struggles at the plate have been well documented, he's turned it around since his rough start to the season.
Thursday night, however, was all about his clutch gene and his glove. With the Fireflies leading 3-2 in the bottom of the ninth, Tebow made a very awkward diving grab to clinch the win.
It was the farthest thing from pretty. In fact, it was ugly, and we're not afraid to say it, but the bottom line is it clinched a win for the Fireflies.
After the game, Tebow spent time signing things for fans.
The .231 average isn't pretty, and the catch isn't either, but Tebow is here to stay and battle his way to the Bigs whether you like it or not.
