Prior to being traded to the Houston Astros, Justin Verlander had spent the entirety of his career playing for the Detroit Tigers.

The 34-year-old accomplished so much with the Tigers, but the only thing he didn't accomplish was winning a World Series, something the Astros were primed to do this season before trading for Verlander.

On Tuesday night, Verlander had a chance to clinch the World Series for Houston, but his dominant outing was all for not as the Dodgers won to force a Game 7.

Wednesday night, though, the Astros rebounded to win the World Series for the first time in franchise history and they wouldn't have done so without Verlander.

After the game, the internet congratulated the Astros and their players on the historic win, but one tweet in particular from the Tigers caught our eye.

An incredibly classy gesture to say the least from the Tigers!  It wasn't easy for them to deal Verlander, and it wasn't easy for him to go to Houston, but it worked out for the best for him and that's all that matters at the end of the day.
