Sports Illustrated releases a lot of lists every year and the latest ones making their rounds online are their Top 50 most fit male athletes and Top 50 most fit female athletes lists.

SI assessed the athletes on many factors such as strength, speed, endurance, agility, flexibility, power, and performances over the last 12 months. The lists include athletes from every sport you can think of, but only three hockey players managed to crack the lists.

On the men’s side of things, two hockey players ended up cracking the list. Coming in at No. 39 on the list is five-time Art Ross Trophy winner and two-time Stanley Cup champion Jaromir Jagr.

The 45-year-old is currently a free agent, but he spent most of his summer trying to prove to the 31 NHL franchises that he still has what it takes to play at an elite level. Jagr played his first NHL game back in 1990, and he’s been able to produce past the age of 40.

Jagr was one of two male hockey players to make the Top 50 list, with the other one being Tampa Bay Lightning captain Steven Stamkos at No. 28.

Steven Stamkos has been one of the most fit players in the NHL since joining Gary Roberts High Performance Training and his position on SI’s list proves it. Not only was he just one of two NHL players to make the list, but he was also ranked higher than athletes such as Rob Gronkowski, Russell Wilson and Kawhi Leonard. The 27-year-old has dealt with two injuries over his NHL career, but he’s only been sidelined by freak injuries.

The highest ranked hockey player was on the female’s list. Coming in at No. 20 on the most fit female athletes list is 29-year-old Team USA Women’s Olympics team captain Meghan Duggan.
