Tuesday night was a historical one in Florida for a couple of Panthers players.

For starters, Roberto Luongo moved into a tie with Terry Sawchuk on the all-time wins list after he backstopped Florida to a 4-3 shootout win over Buffalo.

That incredible accomplishment was overshadowed by what Luongo's teammate, Jaromir Jagr, did.  With three assists, Jagr moved into a tie with Mark Messier for second on the all-time points list with 1,887 career points.

It's only a matter of time before Jagr is all alone in second, and once he is, the only player that's left for him to chase is Wayne Gretzky, who is a ridiculous 970 points ahead of Jagr in terms of career points.

That isn't even the most ridiculous stat we've seen since Jagr tied Messier, though.

No, that honour belongs to this stat that will just make you appreciate 'The Great One' that much more and leave you speechless.

While Jagr and Messier hit the 1887 point mark at relatively the same time, Gretzky hit the mark more than a decade before both legends did.

Regardless of if you're on the 'Gretzky played in a time when it was a lot easier to score' train or not, you have to respect the man for what he accomplished, and this stat is just another reminder of dominant he was.

Still, Jagr reaching the mark at age 44 is almost equally as impressive.
