Countless athletes have pied themselves in the face with early celebrations, but this one in an amateur soccer game belongs in the pantheon of all-time "premature screw ups." The thing is, the early celebration from this goalkeeper during a penalty shootout wasn't even that bad. But some rotten luck (good luck, depending on who you ask) made the goalie's early celebration an unforgettable mistake.
That ball went as high as a towering Aaron Judge pop-up -- and the penalty kick taker stuck with it -- leading to an absurdly lucky goal. The only thing that comes close to this fluky penalty kick is this classic one that's been making the rounds on YouTube for nearly a decade.
