For all you basketball fans out there that love offense and pure athletic ability, you’re in for a treat this NBA season. The 2016-17 season has seen many transitions, especially in the offensive end.
This years points per game as a whole is currently recorded at 105.5 PPG per team. To give you some perspective, that’s the highest it’s been since 1990-91 at 106.3 PPG.
The NBA game has without a doubt changed over the years and what we are witnessing is a point guard and small forward dominated league full of freakish athletes. Names such as Russell Westbrook, Steph Curry, James Harden and Giannis Antetokounmpo probably come to mind right away. But is anyone really complaining?
There are currently 31 20+ points-per-game scorers in the NBA. If that doesn’t sound like a large number to you, well, it most certainly is. 31 players averaging 20+ppg is the most in 30 years and the past years don’t even compare, except for maybe 2007-08 that listed 29 players.
Feel like you can name all or almost all of those 31 players? Here is the list.
