Getting the chance to watch a hockey game in person is already an awesome enough experience. But when you pair a trip to the rink with a promotional giveaway, that pretty much becomes nirvana for a hockey fan.
Tuesday night, Boston University presented 3500 of their fans with an immaculate giveaway...a Nick Bonino garden gnome. Also known as a 'Boni-Gnome,' as was cleverly stated by BU on the box of the giveaway.
Alright, so Bonino attended Boston University for three years, so we understand the logic behind giving the forward his very own gnome. As for the thought process behind the New York Islanders choosing to present Isles superfan Ralph Macchio, AKA the Karate Kid, with his own bobblehead, we don't know, and we certainly don't care. We want one.
Anyone living in Brooklyn who is attending the game on the 23rd want to sauce us a bobblehead?
