It's always fun to dig up pictures of popular athletes as kids, and for the New York Knicks, aside from Carmelo Anthony, Kristaps Porzingis may be the team's most popular player.
The 21-year-old Latvian was booed out of the building on draft night, but it didn't take long for him to become a fan favourite in the hostile basketball environment that is New York.
Everyone basketball fan knows of Porzingis' background, but not every fan has seen him as a kid, until now.
Thanks to Sports Illustrated, these legendary photos of Kristaps as a kid have been brought to light for the whole world to enjoy.
One thing to note from the first picture, Porzingis had a Michael Jackson on the Wizards poster in his room and he's reading a magazine with 'G-Unit'.
The guy was literally made for New York.
Maybe that magazine is where the inspiration came for the Porzingis rap song.
Safe to say Kristaps was awesome as a child and he's carried his personality over to the Big Apple.
