On Sunday, the Winnipeg Jets moved into second place in the Central Division with a 7-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The game wasn't even close from the start as Winnipeg scored five goals in the first period to put the game out of reach before it was even halfway over.
The 7-1 win was significant in more ways than one as the Jets set a few franchise records en route to the victory:
The goals came at a fast and furious pace and thanks to Blake Wheeler and his teammates, the Jets now have three new franchise records.
There were some other cool stats that came out of the win, too, but they weren't franchise records (not everything can be).
The Jets will look to build on the win (and maybe set a few more franchise records) on Tuesday night when they battle the Wild in a huge Central Division clash.
