The Toronto Blue Jays’ short-season single-A affiliate, the Vancouver Canadians, honoured the Montreal Expos and their legendary left-fielder Tim Raines on Tuesday night with a special Expos-themed logo and jersey.

The unifrorms were auctioned off with proceeds going towards the Vancouver Canadians Baseball Foundation. The jersey’s design matched the old red, white and blue colour scheme the Expos wore in the 80's and early 90's. The Canadians featured “VCB” (Vancouver Canadians Baseball) as the logo on the left side of the jersey over the upper chest, resembling  the Expos “ECB” logo they rocked during Raines’ earlier years with the club.

Raines was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in July, and became the third – and quite possibly the final – Expo to be honoured into Cooperstown behind Gary Carter and Andre Dawson. The Hall of Famer served 23-years in the bigs, with 13 of those seasons being played with the Expos. He now serves as the Blue Jays minor league baserunning and roving outfield coordinator.

The Canadians “rained” over the Everett Aquasox with a 4-1 victory on the special night.
