Despite the final result of the Stanley Cup Final, you would have to say that the Nashville Predators had a successful season in 2017. However, the Chicago Blackhawks did not, and the Preds mascot, Gnash, doesn't want them to ever forget about that.
Sunday, the Blackhawks innocently sent out a tweet promoting the sale of single-game tickets. The video the Hawks shared featured fans dancing to the sounds of the team's goal song, Chelsea Dagger.
That's when Gnash decided to chime in and provide his two cents.
Ouch. Months later and that burn still has to feel pretty raw to Blackhawks fans. For those of you who weren't on the internet during the playoffs, the Hawks lost four straight games to the Predators in the first round of the playoffs, were shutout in two of them, and only managed to score three goals in total. It was rough, and the internet doesn't want them to forget about it.
This war of words is only going to get better as soon as the puck finally drops on the new season.
