Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final will go down in history as one of the most bizarre Stanley Cup games in the history of the game.
When the Pittsburgh Penguins went up 3-0 in the first period, you could have been forgiven for thinking the Nashville Predators were in serious danger of getting blown out on the road. But then the second and third periods happened. Somehow, someway, the Penguins managed to go the entire second period, and most of the third, without getting a single shot on net (a first in Cup final history). That allowed the Predators to tie the game, scoring two goals in the third. However, Jake Guentzel then managed to snipe a goal on Pittsburgh's first shot in 37 minutes, which would go down as the game-winner.
All that was missing from Pittsburgh’s bizarre victory was real life penguins dancing around the ice with the players.
Well, we’ve found the real penguins, which appeared to be cheering the hockey playing Penguins on from the Pittsburgh Zoo.
This scuba diver even rocked a Penguins jersey while diving down into the water before Game 1.
Now that’s a die-hard fan!
And if you're wondering who the penguins from the Tennessee Aquarium are loyal to, you better believe they're Predators fans.
