The Penguins seem to be getting the hang of this winning thing, so much so that they also seem to have their game-winning poses down to a science.
In what seems like a Stanley Cup tradition for the Penguins, Sidney Crosby grabbed hold of the Prince of Wales Trophy (Ignoring any superstition) and skated it to the locker room. Before they left though, the team captains snapped a picture with the trophy and Bill Daly, and it looks eerily similar to the one they took last year.
Their hair, faces, poses and facial hair all look identical. If it wasn’t for Bill Daly and the jerseys, we would just assume these were taken at the same time. Obviously it is the same players who have likely been growing out their beards for a similar amount of time, but it’s still crazy to see them side by side.
Sidney Crosby even seems to have his goal celebrations down to a tee. For anyone who watched the 2010 Winter Olympic Gold Medal game, this celebration might look familiar.
It’s official, the Penguins are a bunch of robots that are taking over the NHL. Next up, the world.
